How did the Zinger Brothers get their start?
When Claud and Allan were only 5 years old, they started to learn classical piano. At first they didn’t show much interest in practicing. They seemed far more interested in sports than music. However, their music teacher assured "Mom Zinger" that her twins had real musical talent; it was worth the struggle to keep them learning music. So every morning, with a little help from a stick, the brothers took turns getting up early to practice piano. If Claud got up early at 6am and practiced from 6am to 7am, then Allan practiced from 7am to 8am. The next day it was Allan’s turn to get up early at 6am to practice until 7am, and Claud dutifully followed from 7am to 8am. At the age of 15, the twins suddenly decided to quit music. By then, the twins had taken 8 years of classical and 2 years of music theory. Their mom did not give up. She went to town and brought a trumpet and saxophone back home. Allan fell in love with the trumpet, and Claud picked up the saxophone. They started a family band! During their high school years, they played for family dances. While attending the University of Alberta, the Zinger brothers focused on their passion for sports. They decided to study Physical Education instead of music. Both eventually got degrees in education, however it seems they just couldn’t cut music totally out of their lives. They learned to play the guitar, which turned out to be the best thing they learned at the university. Ever since then, the music has never stopped for these twins. Music is the Zinger brothers' love and life. They have performed all over the country for a variety of functions.
Life Changing Experiences
In 1981, Allan and Claud accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and Lord. God's son performed a miracle in their families. Within the same year, 14 members of their families: parents, wives, and children received Jesus as their personal savior. Since then, their lives have changed, and their music has changed. They found new meaning in music and life. Music has become a tool to praise the Lord and bless others.
Where they live?
Allan and Claud Zinger live in Alberta, Canada, on farms close to a town called Coronation. Coronation is located in east-central Alberta and has a population of approximately 1,200. The area is east of the Highway 2 corridor and away from heavily populated areas. The town offers a quiet, peaceful environment with excellent sports facilities, a hospital, a school(grades 1-12), businesses, and an airport. The people are honest and friendly. Coronation is a wonderful place to raise a family or retire. East-central Alberta is cattle country, but there is also plenty of opportunities in the oil and gas industry. What are they doing?
